About Us — Our Story & Mission

How It Started: A Personal Story

In early 2024, my own family faced a problem that changed everything.

My mother qualified for BISP (Benazir Income Support Programme), but when we tried to apply, we hit a wall. The official website had outdated information. Government helplines kept transferring us. Social media was full of contradictory advice and scams. After three weeks of wasted calls and visits, we finally got answers—but only because my father had connections.

That experience frustrated me. If my family—with education and resources—struggled this much, what about families without these advantages? How many people give up because finding accurate information feels impossible?

That’s when I decided: I would research every major government scheme myself and create honest, detailed guides that actually help people.

That decision became this website.

Who We Are

8171bisps.info is an independent educational platform dedicated to helping Pakistani families understand government schemes, welfare programs, and financial assistance opportunities.

We are NOT:

  • Affiliated with any government department or agency
  • A government website (despite the official-sounding name)
  • A service provider that processes applications
  • A lead-generation platform that sells your data
  • A scam website collecting sensitive information

We ARE:

  • Researchers providing honest, verified information
  • Educators explaining HOW and WHY systems work
  • Guides showing real timelines and actual challenges
  • Trust-builders who are transparent about limitations
  • Fact-checkers updating articles within 48 hours of policy changes

Our Mission (Why We Exist)

We exist to do three things:

1. Provide Accurate Information

Every article is researched directly from official government sources. No guesswork. No secondhand information. No copying from other websites.

We verify:

  • Current government subsidy amounts and eligibility criteria
  • Real market prices from certified vendors
  • Actual timelines (not the “ideal” official timelines)
  • Common challenges people actually face
  • Hidden details that official sources miss

2. Explain the WHY, Not Just the WHAT

Other websites tell you HOW to apply. We explain WHY the system works that way.

Why does BISP require specific documents? Why do some applications get rejected? Why do timelines differ from official promises? Why do certain people succeed while others don’t?

Understanding the WHY helps you prepare better, avoid mistakes, and increase your chances of success.

3. Be Honest About Limitations

If a program has flaws, we say so. If it doesn’t solve your problem, we say that too.

We don’t promise miracles. We don’t sugar-coat challenges. We respect your intelligence enough to tell you the truth.

About Abdullah — The Founder & Researcher

Background & Expertise

I’m Abdullah, the researcher behind this website. For the past 2+ years, I’ve spent thousands of hours researching Pakistan’s government schemes, analyzing policies, and verifying information.

My background includes:

Direct Research: Countless calls to government departments, NADRA, AEDB, and welfare program offices—documenting what officials actually say, not just what websites claim

  1. Verification Methodology: Experience in fact-checking and data validation, ensuring information is accurate before publishing
  2. Market Data Analysis: Direct surveys with 100+ certified service providers (solar installers, bank managers, scheme coordinators) to verify real-world pricing, timelines, and requirements
  3. Community Feedback: Listening to real Pakistanis about their actual experiences—both successes and failures—with these programs
  4. Policy Analysis: Reading government documents, circulars, and regulations to understand the “official” rules vs. real-world practice

Why I Started This Website

As I mentioned, my family’s experience with BISP was frustrating. But as I started researching, I realized the problem was bigger than one program.

Pakistani families are missing out on billions of rupees in government assistance because:

  • Official websites are incomplete or outdated
  • Government helplines are overloaded and give conflicting answers
  • Social media spreads misinformation and scams
  • Local agents charge fees for information that should be free
  • Honest, detailed guidance is nowhere to be found

I decided to solve this problem by creating comprehensive, verified guides for every major scheme.

My Research Process

Before publishing each article, I personally follow a strict research methodology:

Step 1: Official Sources

I verify all information directly from government portals (NADRA.gov.pk, BISP.gov.pk, Energy.gop.pk, AEDB.org.pk, etc.). Not secondhand sources. The official websites themselves.

Step 2: Direct Verification Calls

I call government helplines, email departments, and document official responses. If a government official says something contradicts their website, I flag it and investigate further.

Step 3: Real-World Data

I collect data from 100+ certified vendors—solar installers, bank managers, scheme coordinators. Their real-world experience shows what actually happens vs. what officials claim.

Step 4: Customer Feedback

I gather stories from people who’ve actually used these programs. Their experiences reveal challenges, delays, rejections, and success strategies that official sources never mention.

Step 5: Continuous Updates

Government policies change constantly. I verify all information monthly and update articles within 48 hours of any changes.

What I Verify Before Publishing

For each article, I personally verify:

  • Current subsidy amounts (do they match government claims?)
  • Eligibility requirements (are there hidden criteria?)
  • Real market prices (vendor surveys, not official quotes)
  • Actual timelines (not “promised” timelines)
  • Common rejection reasons (what officials don’t tell you)
  • Payment methods and account requirements
  • Scams and red flags to avoid
  • Success stories and realistic expectations

How We’re Different From Other Websites

1. Research-Based, Not Template-Based

Other websites copy-paste government text and call it a guide. We research, analyze, and explain the meaning behind the policies.

2. Real Data, Not Guesses

We don’t estimate prices or timelines. We verify them with actual vendors and government officials. If we don’t know something, we say so.

3. Honest About Challenges

We tell you about real delays, rejection reasons, and obstacles. Not just ideal scenarios.

4. Updated Monthly

Government policies change constantly. We verify all information monthly and update within 48 hours of changes.

5. Independent & Transparent

We’re not government-funded, not sponsored by companies, and not selling your data. Our only goal is helping you understand your options.

How We Fund This Website

This website runs on:

  • Google AdSense: Small, non-intrusive ads on articles (minimal revenue)
  • No affiliate links: We don’t promote specific vendors or services
  • No sponsorships: We don’t accept money from government agencies or companies
  • No data sales: We never sell your information

This independence allows us to give you honest information without corporate or government bias.

Our Verification Sources

Every article relies on these official and verified sources:

  1. Source Type: Government Portals
Examples: NADRA, BISP, Punjab Energy, AEDB, WAPDA, FBR
  2. Source Type: Official Helplines
Examples: Direct calls to government departments (documented)
  3. Source Type: Certified Vendors
Examples: 100+ AEDB-registered solar installers, bank managers, scheme coordinators
  4. Source Type: Government Documents
Examples: Official policy circulars, regulations, notifications
  5. Source Type: Real Users
Examples: People who’ve successfully applied, failed, or are currently waiting
